Chicago Collects: Jewelry in Perspective features 200 pieces of historical jewelry and objects from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
This exhibition highlights:
- A 19th century jeweled monstrance
- A collection of magnificent tiaras
- Medals of the French kings
- Gems from the Art Nouveau Movement
- And much more!
Drawn from public and private collections in Chicago, this exhibition is a celebration of design and craftsmanship. Featured designers include Louis Comfort Tiffany, René Lalique, and Anne Howe Geyer.
Lenders include the Richard H. Driehaus Collection, Chicago, the Chicago History Museum, the Lizzadro Museum, select private collectors, and contemporary Chicago jewelry artisans.
