Those company picnics were in need of promotional posters–enter Steve Frykholm. Steve was hired as Herman Miller’s first in-house graphic designer and one of his first assignments was the task of designing these posters. \n\n\n\nLet’s Picnic: The Knop Collection of Herman Miller Posters is a closer look at Frykholm’s iconic posters that went from a simple work task to a large series that has since made design history. These 20 posters will be on display at the Muskegon Museum of Art in our Frank E. & Flora M. Johnson Family Print Gallery.\n\n\n\nMay 7 – September 13, 2026\n
