The Michigan Lake House, designed by Katherine Chia, is a residential dwelling that embraces the coastal landscape of West Michigan and has received multiple architectural awards for its unique design and sustainability. Although modern in design, it takes its inspiration from the quaint nearby fishing villages and the surrounding landscape. Chia will explain the design process and lessons learned from the region, the site’s ecology and explorations of material and light.
