Art Avenues, the MMA & MAISD’s Professional Development Day for Art Educators is changing and becoming BIGGER & BETTER!

The MMA is partnering with the Muskegon, Kent, and Ottawa County ISDs to bring you a bigger and better Professional Development day just for Art Educators!

Join us for an immersive professional development experience designed for Visual Arts educators. This year’s integration features a deep dive into the Muskegon Museum of Art’s ‘Art of Comics’ exhibit, highlighting the narrative power and technical skill behind sequential art. Participants will engage in specialized breakouts centered on Career Connected Art, gaining rare insights from industry experts who have worked with powerhouses like Marvel and Disney. By bridging the gap between classroom practice and professional industry standards, we will explore innovative ways to foster the critical thinking and creativity necessary for the modern workforce. Come ready to connect with peers and learn how the intersection of art and science can inspire the next generation of creators.
