The Story of Women and Art, Pt. 1
Auditorium opens at noon. Film starts at 12:15 pm.
The summer Brown Bag Film series focuses on the lives, achievements, and challenges of women artists. Confronted by society’s daunting restrictions, women have struggled to obtain training, commissions, and critical acclaim throughout the span of art history.
This three-part documentary highlights women who were able to defy the odds with their artistic achievements during their era. Led by Professor Amanda Vickery, the series escorts us on an unprecedented tour through four centuries of Western Art. (60 mins.)
Brown Bag film admission is free. Bring your lunch and enjoy complimentary coffee and cookies. Paid admission is required to enter the galleries.
