Lecture with Bennett Prize® Winner

Aneka Ingold, the winning artist of the first-ever Bennett Prize®, will present a lecture at the Muskegon Museum of Art on Thursday, August 1. Reception at 5:00 pm, Lecture at 6:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public.
Ingold’s work explores women’s experiences across time, culture, and history. The artist resides in Tampa, Florida, but has roots in West Michigan. She received her undergraduate degree in painting from Grand Valley State University in 2013 and her master of fine arts degree in drawing from Kendall College in 2014.
The Bennett Prize® is the largest ever awarded solely to women painters. Bennett Prize® founders Steven Bennett and Dr. Elaine Melotti Schmidt announced the winner of The Prize at the Rising Voices: The Bennett Prize® for Women Figurative Realist Painters exhibition opening on May 2, 2019.
