MMA offers free admission for families receiving food assistance

The Muskegon Museum of Art has joined Museums for All, which allows families and individuals receiving food assistance (SNAP) benefits to visit the Muskegon Museum of Art free of charge. Guests must present a SNAP Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card to receive free admission. Up to four guests per card, visiting in one group, are allowed free admission.

Regular adult museum admission is $10. The MMA is open 11am – 4 pm Tuesdays through Sundays and is closed on Mondays.

Museums for All is a signature access program of the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), administered by the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM), to encourage people of all backgrounds to visit museums regularly and build lifelong museum-going habits.

Similar free and reduced admission is available to eligible members of the public at museums across the country.  More than 500 institutions across the country participate in the initiative, including art museums, children’s museums, science centers, botanical gardens, zoos, history museums, and more.
