POSTCARD SALON ARTIST INFORMATION
The Muskegon Museum of Art’s Postcard Salon returns for its 14th year in the spring of 2020. Artists may submit artwork through March 15, 2020 to participate in the exhibition and sale.
About Postcard Salon
Now in its 14th year, the Postcard Salon is a celebration of creativity that reflects the Muskegon Museum of Art’s commitment to Michigan artists—a chance for people of all ages and skill levels to share their work with the public. Over 1,000 cards from artists from West Michigan and are typically on display, offering a huge range of materials and subject matter to enjoy. The exhibition is free to enter and all submitted cards are installed, making the show a true community endeavor. The exhibition is also a great opportunity to support the area arts community by purchasing an original work of art.
Exhibition: April 2 – 16, 2020
Salon event: Thursday, April 16, 5:30 – 8:00 pm
Postcard Sale: Thursday April 16, 7:00 – 8:00 pm
Basic Artist Guidelines
- Artists may submit up to five (5) cards in any media measuring exactly 4 x6 inches in height and width. (Depth is variable).
- The deadline for entry is Sunday, March 15, 2020.
- Participation is free, but all cards must be available for sale at $30.
- Proceeds will be split between the artist and the MMA.
Frame & Mat Shop returns to Postcard Salon
Frame and Mat Shop, Inc. of Grand Haven and Holland return this year to the Postcard Salon sale with a large selection of frames to complement your artwork purchases. Frames will be very reasonably priced and come in many colors and finishes. FMS donates 100% proceeds of sales to the Muskegon Museum of Art.
