Ceramic exhibition at the Muskegon Museum of Art unveils artistry in every sip

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: February 25, 2022

MUSKEGON, MI — The Muskegon Museum of Art presents Cups, an invitational ceramic exhibition featuring some of the top ceramic artists in the U.S. and gives the public the opportunity to buy their artwork right off the gallery shelves. Cups opens on Thursday, October 12, and will be on display through Thursday, November 9.

In its second year, the Cups exhibition challenges ceramic artists to merge form and function in various sizes, shapes, and designs to push the boundaries of crafting ceramic drinking vessels. These unique cups are all one-of-a-kind and handcrafted using a variety of techniques and materials.

All cups in the exhibition are available for the public to purchase beginning Thursday, October 12 at 5:00 PM during the Opening Reception. However, cups that are purchased do need to remain on display in the gallery through November 9.

A Closing Reception and Gallery Talk with Guest Curator, Cyndi Casemier, will be held on Thursday, November 9 at 6 PM.  Purchased cups can be taken home after the Gallery Talk on November 9 or picked up at a later date.
