Festival of Trees
The Festival of Trees at the Muskegon Museum of Art brings sparkle, creativity, and holiday cheer to the galleries! A beloved annual fundraiser, the museum will be transformed into a winter wonderland with an artistic take. Trees created by local artists and designers are each a unique work of art on their own. The Festival of Trees celebrates the season in the most artful way possible!

Festival of Trees Opens – Wednesday, November 26 | 11 AM – 5 PM

Teddy Bear Trail – Saturday, November 29 | 9 – 11:30 AM
Bring your family and favorite teddy bear or stuffed animal on a special holiday trail through Downtown Muskegon. Jingle along our holiday teddy bear trail for donuts, teddy bear check-ups and adoptions, hot cocoa and candy canes with Santa Claus, and so much more! Don’t have a stuffed animal? We’ll have a limited supply available for adoption! Children must be accompanied by one adult.
$5 per person |Advanced ticket purchase is required.
Senior Tuesday Mornings – Dec 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 | 10 – 11 AM
Seniors get early access and discounted admission at the MMA every Tuesday throughout the Festival of Trees. Coffee and breakfast pastries will be available.
$5 Admission for seniors (65) from 10 – 11 AM.
Super Saturday – Saturday, December 13 | 11 AM – 2 PM
Activity: Make Winter Sculptures (inspired by the Festival of Trees)
Hot Cocoa Hop & Santa at the Museum – Saturday, December 13 | 11 AM – 2 PM
Meet Santa, warm up with hot cocoa, tour the Festival of Trees, and create your own winter sculpture at Super Saturday! Santa visits will be from 11 AM – 1 PM.
Free & Open to the Public.
Spark! Memory Care Program – Wednesday, December 17 | 10 – 11 AM
SPARK! is a cultural program for people with early to mid-stage memory loss and their care partners. The program is designed to keep participants actively engaged in their communities by providing experiences that stimulate conversations, provide peer support, and inspire creativity through creative engagement, workshops, and programs.

Gift Wrapping & Bow Making – December 18 | 4:30 – 6:30 PM
Add an artistic flair to your wrapping or simply check a holiday task off your list, this event is the perfect blend of convenience and creativity. All wrapping materials are provided, and no experience is needed. Just bring your gifts and your holiday cheer! $2 per gift.
Happy Hour at the MMA – December 18 | 4:30 – 7 PM
Happy Hour at the MMA is the perfect excuse for a unique night out!
Join us on the third Thursday of every month from 4:30 – 7 PM for an after-hours night at the Muskegon Museum of Art.
There will be light snacks, punch, a cash bar, puzzles, games, and a lot of art to explore.
Happy hours are free to attend and drop-in style.
The Festival of Trees Silent Auction offers a chance to bid on festive and artfully designed items. The auction supports the museum’s holiday fundraiser.
You can even shop the auction from home! Auction ends January 4 at 5 PM.
50/50 Raffle
The Festival of Trees 50/50 Raffle is your shot at taking home half the jackpot while the other half benefits the exhibitions and programs at the MMA.
Tickets: $10 each
Every ticket helps keep art and creativity thriving in our community. Tickets are available at the museum store and will be drawn on December 19 at 12:30 PM.
