Grand Valley Piano Chamber Series Concert

The Grand Valley Piano Chamber Series will present a concert, titled “Finding America” in the atrium at the MMA on Thursday, November 6, from 6-8 PM.

GVPCS celebrates America’s 250th anniversary with chamber music works by composers who made the United States their new home. This program at MMA features Igor Stravinsky’s Suite Italienne, Ernest Bloch’s Nigun from Baal Shem, and Erich Wolfgang Korngold’s Suite for Left Hand Piano and Strings, Op. 23.

GVPCS Artistic Director Sookkyung Cho will be joined by violinist Zenas Hsu and cellist Hannah Collins, both members of the Boston-based chamber orchestra, A Far Cry, as well as violinist Clara Lyon of Decada, an affiliated ensemble of Carnegie Hall.
