POW! The Art of Comics
POW! The Art of Comics celebrates the comic book, exploring the artists who have brought superheroes
and villains to life for generations of readers. The show features over one hundred original comic
drawings from the 1970s to today, including fan favorites like Superman, Supergirl, and The Avengers.
Hollywood movie art, vintage comics, and original comic strip drawings from the 1950s are also on view.
Bringing the action and drama to life are a life-sized Batmobile, Batman costumes from the 1960s, and
1980s, and interactive displays for fans of all ages. Whether you’re visiting old favorites or discovering
comics for the first time, this show is not to be missed.

Super Saturday: Comic Strips

Super Saturday is the second Saturday of every month. Enjoy free general admission* to the Museum’s galleries and a FREE kids STEAM activity. Each Super Saturday is inspired by a piece of art from the MMA permanent collection or a current exhibition. February’s STEAM Activity: Comic Strips!

SPARK! at the Museum: COMICS

SPARK! is a cultural program for people with early to mid-stage memory loss and their care partners. The program is designed to keep participants actively engaged in their communities by providing experiences that stimulate conversations, provide peer support, and inspire creativity through creative engagement, workshops, and programs.
Happy Hour at the Museum: COMICS

Happy Hour at the MMA is the perfect excuse for a unique night out! Join us on the third Thursday of every month from 4:30 – 6:30 PM for an all-ages after-hours night at the Muskegon Museum of Art. There will be light snacks, punch, a cash bar, different themes, activities, and a lot of art to explore. Happy hours are free to attend and drop-in style.
