The Scott Rosema Process: Doing Comic Art

Join us to hear Scott Rosema share his story, process, and career as an American comic book artist. He was instrumental in the curation of our exhibition, POW! The Art of Comics and if featured. Spanning several decades, Rosema has worked with major publishers such as DC Comics, Marvel Comics, and Archie Comics, as well as on independent projects.

A graduate of Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Rosema developed a distinct style influenced by both classic comic book art and animation. His work is particularly recognized for its strong linework, energetic compositions, and a keen ability to capture emotion and movement in characters. Among his most notable contributions, Rosema has worked on popular titles such as Batman: The Animated Series, The Simpsons Comics, Space Ghost, and Scooby-Doo.
