Kickoff the Spring Season with Family Fun at the Muskegon Museum of Art

MUSKEGON, MI — The Muskegon Museum of Art is excited to kick off the spring season with family friendly fun! From opening our Postcard Salon show and Mo Willems & Friends Illustration Exhibition to hosting fun events inspired by these exhibitions and more, there is no shortage of things to do here at the MMA.

Postcard Salon

On display now through April 16, enjoy a chance to view art made right here in the community. Each year the Muskegon Museum of Art challenges artists of all levels to create postcard-sized works of art which are sold at the Postcard Salon Sale at the end of the exhibition. All media are welcome, so be sure to come enjoy works ranging from pencil to watercolor, collage to ceramics, and more!

All cards will be for sale beginning April 16, 2026 for $30. The MMA splits the sale price 50/50 with the artist. Sale begins at 6:30 PM with a five-minute head start for MMA members.

Mo Willems & Friends

Mo introduced the world to his famous character Pigeon in 2003’s Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, Mo has delighted us with a bevy of unforgettable characters; from Gerald and Piggie, to Leonardo the Terrible Monster, Nanette with her Baguette and an unlimited number of squirrels (to name a few)! Experience and celebrate the last two decades of Mo’s illustration career through a selection of his bookwork and doodles.
